H1 B visa expired . Can I go for stamping other than country of Origin

Hi

I am working int he US for the last 6 yrs and my H1b Visa stamping has expired on Jan2012. I now have to travel to london on work. I have an approved extension of H1b for another 3 years.

Question is can I go for visa stamping in the UK embassy for or do I have to go to the country of origin which is India for visa stamping.

Please advice.

Because it’s not your first stamping, you can get it in UK too. VFS encourage getting the first stamping from the country of nationality. Still, better to call the US embassy, London to make it sure.

You can go to UK embassy as well
