PIMS Verification

Hi All

I attended H1b Visa interview on 8 may 2012 in ottawa. Everything went fine. The VO told me your visa is approved , but we need to verify PIMS. I do not have any update till now.

can anyone tell me, If there anything i can do at my end to expediate this process.

Any help will be appreciated.

Sorry to say but Nothing you can do. There is no Toll Free Number for PIMS. Usually, Company's lawyer sent copy of your approved I-797 to KCC to be updated in system used by American consular post.

Hopefully, it won't take super long. By the way, can you provide some date on which your I-797 was approved.

Usually , it takes at least month to get PIMS updated after you get approval of I-797.

Do you know any process to send a copy to KCC by lawyer.

I am in same boat,Petition approved on 9th April 2012,Interview at mumbai on 26th April 2012,issue with PIMS and waiting. from 20 days...:(please update your status..

I do not know the process. All I was being told is that My company lawyers take initiative to send copy to KCC. I always check with lawyers whether I am clear in terms of PIMS inquiry before appearing for the inretview.

Try google, may be someone have document process around the same.
