Rekhan
Hello Guys, I've heard that we need to email a few visa consulates regarding PIMS verification a few days before we go for H1B stamping. Is this needed for H1B stamping in Vancouver??? I have my visa appointment on June 4th. Please advise. Thanks Link to comment
hmaster
This is not true. PIMS is not your responsibility. I have seen people email the VO, but it's just a waste of time. In fact sending the VO an email before the interview could appear annoying. They check that info during your interview when they open your file and thats why they charge you a fee (interview fee) - PIMS has to be there from before ideally when the VO looks at it during interview, but for some reason if your lawyer didn't mail a second copy of your petition to USCIS during initial filing, they (VO) request for PIMS update later (post interview) which takes a couple of days. Thats why you have a couple of days delay before visa issuance in some cases. Link to comment
BOUNCEBACK
You dont have to email anybody...Talk to your attorney or HR dept if they have sent a copy of the H1 B approval to Kentucy office. Or if it has been more than two or three months then the chances of need for PIMs update are very less. Link to comment
