In this its mentioned that I need to provide 4 weeks of notice period and failing to do so will lead to company damages to the tune of $10,000. 1. What is the notice period norm. I thought its 2 weeks. 2. Is the damages amount lawful ? if yes then what should be a reasonable amount ? Link to comment
livliv Posted May 11, 2012 Report Share Posted May 11, 2012 The employer can require any period. Whether the offer letter and your accepting the offer constitutes a contract or not is different question. A labor lawyer may be able to answer. Link to comment
