Change in location

Hi,

My company is planning to start GC process for me in June 2012. They will be starting with advertising and then LC etc. I know GC is a lengthy process.

So question is, if i request my employer for change in location within U.S. [same company] while they initiated the process, will it have any impact in G.C approval or will any of the steps might get complicated due to change in location?

GC is for a future job, which you would join once the GC is approved, so your current job has no bearance to the GC process, you may even not be working for the GC sponsoring employer. You just need to join the Job for which the GC was sponsored once you get the GC approved.
