cooldude9
Hi...I have a question. Thought of asking the experts and getting it clarified. When does a H1B amendment come into picture? I also wanted to know whether an amendment is mandatory in the following case. Let us say that I changed my job from a client in one state to a different client in another state. I know that a new LCA has to be filed but is a h1 amendment needed in this case? If so, is there any deadline to file the amendment? Will there be any issue if I go for stamping without h1 amendment? Replies are highly appreciated. Thanks.. Link to comment
noauditplz
Yes. H1B amendment is generally needed in below cases 1) Change of Clients located in different state (only LCA will not suffice even if the job responsibilities are same) 2) Change in job responsibilities at same client or different client 3) Change in Pay scale Link to comment

wiweq
Generally, LCA update should be initiated before the effective date. They need to provide you a copy of new LCA. It's as per H1b regulations. Link to comment
