harik11 Posted May 8, 2012 Report Share Posted May 8, 2012 I have 4 years Engineering Degree and i have total of 8+ years of experience i have 3 months less than 5 years before joining my current Employer and i have been working with same employer what is the possibility of falling in EB2 classification if my current Employer initiates Green Card ? or is it better to switch the Employer and use Total Experience to get Classified for EB2 is it possible to be EB2 with current Employer and if so what are the chances Thanks a lot , Hari Link to comment
catchgul Posted May 9, 2012 Report Share Posted May 9, 2012 You can still use your work experience with the current Employer if the your current job is atleast 50% different from the one that your GC is going to be applied for. For e.g if you joined the current employer as a Software Engineer and yor GC is going to be filed as a Programmer Analyst, you can still use your experience as a Software Engineer if your job duties are atleast 50% different. This is true in case of the example I gave here. My case was the same and I got my I-140 approved using the experience with the current job. Link to comment
