Greetings,

Hope you are doing great.

I have a question regarding my H1B visa. I am in 6th year of my H1b with I-140 approved.

My H1b is valid till Jul 2013 but my stamping is valid only till Dec 7 2012, since I moved jobs and changed employers.

So the question is my brother's wedding is on Dec 5th(only 2 days after my valid stamping).

1. Can I go out of country and come back on Dec 6th or 7th.

2. Or should I go to stamping and try to get it until Jul 2013.

Considering current 221g's and various issues people are facing these days with stamping, if something goes wroong

would they revoke my valid stamping until Dec 2012.

Please advise/provide suggestions regarding above options or any additional options.

Thanks in advance!!

All I can say is stamping is never a guarantee. more so ever in current times. When you re-appear for a visa interview they cancel all previous active or inactive stamps, so you can't use your previous visa to return. If you are EVC or EC you can sure expect 221g delays of several weeks. Its really upto you as to whats more important to you...

To answer your question - well as long as you return on or before the expiry date of your visa you are good to return.
