H4, EAD and SSN Related question

Hi,

Myself and my wife applied for AOS On 23rd of April and along with that applied for EAD and AP. We got receipt confirmation for all the 3 applications and now awaiting the FP notice and EAD /AP card mails.

Can any senior member help me answer these questions

1. My wife was not eligible to apply for SSN till now since she was on H4. I read that she can apply for it after EAD. Will this impact her current H4 status.

2 Our H1 and H4 valid till July 2013 and my lawyer says you need to be H1 status till that time and use H1 /H4 stampled visas to re-enter in case of travel. Applying an SSN will it impact this?

3. We are planning to buy a home and I would like to add her as co-owner . Without SSN it is not possible and want to make sure i am not breaking rules here.
