First H1-B Stamping - going to canada - Need Advice

Hi All,

This is my first H1-B stamping with new employer(Consultant Firm) before this I came to usa on L1-B and never went to india.I want to go for stamping in canada as advised by my employer.I have couple of questions if somebody can lend me help.

1. Is this advisable to visit canada for first H1-B Stamping or do I need to go back to india?

2. Does anybody provide me the latest available dates in canada(Reason to ask this question - there are couple of threads in this forum where mentioned we need to pay visa fees to check the available dates if it's true then can somebody have some rough info when the dates are available. I mean if you booked last week then you might have checked the available dates (If i could get dates after 2 weeks not sure :( )

If you studied in USA then its advisable to go to Canada for stamping.

Coming to the Dates earlliest available are July 16th in Toronto , ottawa pretty much available not sure about the other

Here are the available dates in Vancouver as of 5/6/2012 10:17 EST

May : 10,11,15, etc

Jun:1 ,5,6,7 etc

I have done by masters here in US and planning to go Vancouver or Ottawa for stamping.

Please can you let me know earliest dates in July to apply for stamping. I am looking for 1 week of july or so.
