H1B Extension/Renewal 6 year and beyond

Situation

I have my approved I140 from my previous employer and the I am in the 7th year now, When the last extension is made through new employer is for three years is valid till 5^th Oct 2012(H1B Transfer using the approved I140 from the previous employer.) ,New employer filed my PERM recently,

Question

Whether the H1B extension\renewal for another three years could be filed using the previous approved I140 during the PERM processing stage with the current employer, since new PERM filed recently 20 days before ? Your responses are highly appreciated.

Yes you can assuming your previous employer had not revoked I-140 and I-140 is Active.
