Stamping in Canada after 9yr gap since last stamping F1 to H1b in Chennai. 10th yr H1b. Masters in USA.

Is the 9 yr gap a flag to prompt for background check? Should I rather go to india for stamping? the purpose of stamping is to visit India.

I didn't go outside usa for 9 years now as my family visits me every year. I originally came to USA on masters and converted to h1b. My last stamping was in chennai, india as a conversion from F1 to H1b.

All my employment was full time. never been out of status never worked as a consultant.

are there any issues I should be concerned with since my last stamping was long time ago. I'm not that concerned about getting denied as mine is a plain vannila situation. but is there a chance i would be stranded for 2/3 months as my 9 year gap might be a flag for background checks?

Please share your experiences if some one has gone thru similar situation.
