H1-B Transfer

Hi,

Sorry to post this thread in this forum. I need your help on this issue that I have right now. I am on H1-B visa and recently transfered my H1 to Company B and I am working for the same client. My previous employer company A has sent me a legal notice saying that I should not work for that client through some other company as it is breach of employment agreement. My client is not a direct client to my previous employer.I came in through a prime vendor and he is still my prime vendor.Please advise me what woule be my next step. Appreciate your help.

It has nothing to do with your client. If the non-compete agreement was signed between your former employer and the prime vendor, your former employer has all the rights to proceed legally as he did.

You are in right forum. Did you sign anything stating that you can't work for same client with different employer? If yes, you should consult attorney to solve this out. If not don't worry.
