CJ07
Once you finish your stay on H1B and do not have a green card/or it is rejected..do you need to leave the country ? Or can you change to another status as a dependant like H4 ? If so, when are you eligible to reapply for H1 ? Link to comment
JoeF
If you have the full 6 years on H1, you can only get a new H1 after staying outside the US for one year. Changing to another status is possible, but it does not make you eligible for a new H1. Link to comment
kalyan_ac
Yes you can change to H4 and change back to H1 whenever you find a sponsor. Link to comment
JoeF
Yes you can change to H4 and change back to H1 whenever you find a sponsor. If a person has used the full 6 years on H1, the person has to be outside the US for a year to be eligible for a new H1. Link to comment
