L1B Expired, Valid i94, can I sponsor a VISA for my Mom?

My L1B is getting expired on May 3rd but I've valid i94 till May 2013. The company has filed i539 to extend my WIFE and Son's status because their i94 is getting expired on May 3rd. They also said, they cannot apply for extending my VISA because I've valid i94. Is that true?

Also can I sponsor a VISA for my Mom and in laws when I have valid i94?

Yes, your mother can apply for her Visa to visit you and you can pay for her trip.

Yes, they are right. When you have valid I-94, you wouldn't need to apply for extension.

Also, you can invite your Parents at this situation.
