first time h1b visa stamping and vfs dates

Hi Everyone,

I am thinking of going for visa stamping for the first time. I am working for reputed company in bay area and in full time role for 2.5 years.

Please let me know following information

1) do I need to go only to India for visa stamp? what are the chances of visa approval in Hyd or Bombay consulates?

2) I was not able to book dates for June/July on VFS site. can we only book for May month?
