hakaz
I am currently in F1 status. But If I can get a company to sponsor H1B and they apply for it and gets approved, do I need to go to India to get a H1 stamp before I start working? I used to think that one needed a H1 stamp only if travelling? Link to comment
wiweq
You were used to think right. Visa stamping is just used to enter in USA. In your case, while filing your H1b your employer will also file COS from F1 to H1b. You don’t need to travel to start working on H1b. Once your COS kicks in, you are good to work. Link to comment
