H1B Pending and Change of employer

Hi,

I am currently employer with Emp A and they have filed by H1B extension(1 year left) in March and it is currently pending. I have an offer from another employer and they are ready to do my H1B transfer. Is it safe to initiate a h1B transfer when my current h1 is pending approval with Emp A.

I also have approved EAD but i would like to keep my H1B status as a safety net incase the 485 is denied for some reason. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can please let me know if changing employers on H1B while a h1b extension petition is pending could cause any problems.
