OPT to GC based EAD

I'm on H1 (primary applicant) and my Wife is on F1 opt. Her OPT is expiring on May 10th 2012. we have GC EAD and AP approved on 03/03/2012. When her current OPT expires, How can she convert to GC EAD status? Should we request for a change of status?
