Stamping in Canada question

Hello gurus and folks who had successful stamping in Canada.

I have a stupid question and I'm still debating whether I should go to Chennai or Vancouver for visa stamping. I'm F1-OPT-H1B and I'm little concerned reg going to Canada for stamping. When my employer's attorney filed the I-129 petition (section 4 of the I-129), he indicated Chennai as the consulate to which USCIS will notify the approved petition. Can someone suggest me whether it matters or not. I tried to do a google search on this question and also searched through this forum for any previous entries relating to my query. But no luck

My impression is.. Consulate indicated in section 4 of I-129 petition will only be notified if the change of status is NOT approved while you are in U.S. But in my case since change of status is approved and also I did my grad school in U.S and working close to a year with my employer i'm probably good to go to Canada for visa stamping. Any thoughts and ideas?

Thanks a lot in advance !! Your help is really appreciated.
