family based green card

Hi,

I have applied for family based green card as my spouse is a permanent resident of USA.(F2A)

My I-130 was approved on 17th Septmeber 2010. I have been following the USA visa bulletin to find the current date, at the moment the current date is October 2009.

Last week, I received an email from NVC asking to make a payment for Affidavit of support ( AOS) and the immigration visa fee.The email had invoices for payment with bar code.

My query is should I make the payment now or wait for my date to become current. Which way it will be quicker.

Please note that the abbreviation AOS is used for something different, namely the I-485 Adjustment of Status.

NVC usually sends out letters when the PD is expected to become current soon. When was the I-130 filed? That's the PD, not the approval date.

What is your PD Date. My Priority date is Aug 15th 2010 and approval date Nov 30th 2010
