hary536
Hello, The minimum requirement for my PERM position is MS+2 years. I have about 10-11 months of experience after my BS degree, but before starting my MS degree. Can I use that experience gained before my MS degree to fulfill a part of the MS+2 years experience requirement? (I read somewhere, that you can use the experience gained only after the required degree for the position, but am not sure, if that is really true) Thanks. Link to comment
JoeF
Degree+x years experience always means experience after getting the degree. Link to comment
hary536
Degree+x years experience always means experience after getting the degree. Is this really true? Or degree+x means that the minimum required degree as per flcdatacenter and not the employer's minimum degree requirement? I am confused since I have seen so many people using experience gained before their masters degree. Thanks. Link to comment
JoeF
If the employer requires MS+x years experience, that means x years after getting the MS. If there is an alternative requirement, e.g., BS+x+y years, then the x+y can of course be from after getting the Bachelor. This is what experience requirements mean for every recruiting, regardless of US citizen or for a GC. Link to comment
Illinois_Dude
My company's immigration attorneys are known to be very very conservative and try to avoid EB2 unless the job absolutely requires it. They have said it is fine to use fulltime experience prior to obtaining the actual MS degree. Link to comment
