Shriyak30
I moved from OPT to H1 and got approval few months ago. My 10 year old son is in India and never travelled to US. Last tried for visiting visa and he got denied. Now I am trying for H4 for him. When my cousin went to consulate in India to drop the papers they saying any of one parent should come even to drop the papers. I am not in a position to go to India as getting stamped is difficult these days. Previously they used to allow grandparents or anyone to take the kids for stamping. Does anyone know now why they not allowing? Are there any changes in rules for kids recently? Link to comment
ha_c_23
you can write a authorization letter requesting to allow your cousin to drop the papers.. I know a friend who did the same - he requested for allowing his brother to drop the papers for his H1.. they agreed..!! Link to comment
