lgupta01 Posted April 21, 2012 Report Share Posted April 21, 2012 Facts: Case : EB3 (PD Dec, 2005) Currently Working on EAD Current EAD valid till August 2012 Renewal Filing due by the end of April 2012. Situation: Due to various reasons, I am planning to change my employer and therefore have following questions: 1- If I resign voluntarily, will that effect my I-485 Case, Bcoz my current company's attorney's are representing my case and If I resign, can the company stop my EAD and AP renewal which is due for renewal anytime now. I know if that happens I can myself file for the extension, but would there be any problem in that process. 2- How long can I be without Job on EAD? 3- Does gap in empoyment when PD is not current effects the I-485 Case. 4- My husband is a dependent on my I-485. Will his status be affected in any ways. He is also working on EAD valid thru 08,12. Looking forward to your response. Thanks...... Link to comment

It is assumed that you have filed an employment-based adjustment application but the exact basis for it cannot be guessed (you have to explain it). What is the category listed on the EAD? It is merely presumed that you are really asking how AC21 portability works but again that is only a guess. You have not provided enough information to get a useful response. Link to comment
