Best time for visa stamping after filing the H1B extension

hi all,

I am really confused. I have a valid H1B untill october ,2012 and also I94.

I have not gone for stamping earlier as, i shifted status from F1 to H1B and did not visit india untill now.

Now in the month of April, i applied for H1B extension.

If i get the H1B approval from oct 2012 to etc date, can i go for stamping immediately ?

and will I get approval me for my new H1B visa and also the I94 approved for the new visa or will he approve untill oct,2012(for my previous H1b visa). Please do give your valuable suggestions. Thanks

You can apply for Visa anytime after petition is approved. Visa expiry will depend on which petition you use to apply for the Visa.

You can go for stamping immediately but is recommended to wait for 3-4 weeks for PIMS to get updated so that you dont get stuck in administrative processing when gone for stamping.
