When to file H1B

Hi,

I have my OPT extension till May 2013 and my F1 visa is also till May 2013. What are my best options to apply for H1 this year or would there be a chance for me to apply for H1 next year 2014 and work till my h1 starts.

Please do advice me on this.

My current client is not willing to provide a client letter, do you think it is better to move to another client or is it sufficient to have vendor letters ..

Please do help me.

You can file for a h1b now or next FY.

My suggestion would be to look for a full time job but not through vendors.

Going for stamping without client letter is tough unless you have something really to prove your employment.

When you file for h1 in April 2013, you can file for a cap gap extension which will keep you legal between May and October.

If filed next year, it must be done before OPT expires, so that you will have cap-gap extension and you can work during May to Sep period.
