OPT Extension - H1 approved - Travel abroad

Hi Guys,

I am new to this site,need suggesions please:

My OPT extension is valid till February 2013 & I am applying for H1 now in April with premium processing which will generally gets approved(if suppose) by start of May & H1 status will offically starts from October this year. Is there a possibility that I can go abroad(india) for a vacation in May for a month after my H1 is approved with travel I20 form school & return US in F1 status without any H1 stamping.
