Eligibility for 7th year extension,given that family based green card application has been filed

Hello Everybody,

I was wondering whether I would be automatically eligible for a 7th year extension, given that my mom has filed a family based application for on my behalf for my permanent residency.

This application is in the F1 category. I am currently on H1-B visa and have another 3 years to go until expiration.

Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

Family-based applications don't allow you to extend the H1 past the 6 years.
