Issue in the validity of EAD

Hi ,

I applied for an EAD in Dec 2011 and i got it by end of January2012 .I was surprised to see that it came so soon.But i found that the validity of card is just for three months which is ridiculous .How is this possible.I am sure where the mistake has gone.So i have consulted that local uscis office and they have raised a service request.

Did anybody face the same issue.If so what should be the next step.

I think the only option is to apply for EAD renewal. EAD expiry date is at USCIS's discretion.
