neepa jain Posted April 9, 2012 Report Share Posted April 9, 2012 I had signed an offer with a company X later the sales person took my documents to transfer my h1b and they went for processing but i was later not happy with the consulting company as there wer many issue and i could not trust so i decided not to join that company.They are now threatening me to pay a huge amount of money that cost them for transfering the visa and other so called damages or they would file a case against me.Could anyone please tell me what would be the scenario if i do not pay them as it is a huge money for me to pay can anyone suggest what should i do about this. wiweq Posted April 10, 2012 Report Share Posted April 10, 2012 They cannot harm you. Don't accept their calls. If they email you, get the printouts and send to ICE, and local police. Before doing this, email them stating that thanks for the offer but you are not joining them. It's 100% employer's risk of H1b expenses. Its our duty to keep this market clean, report whenever its needed ! Link to comment
