dhaval07
With the retrogression of EB2 priority dates to 2007, I am seeking some clarification for my case. My I-140 on EB2 was approved (feb, 2012) and the priority date is Dec 2005 since this EB2 I-140 was interfiled with my EB3 application that has a priority date of Dec 2005. I am confused, with the current retrogression of EB2 priority date to 2007: does this mean that visa number (greencard) numbers are available for my 2005 priority date or does this mean that unti Oct 2012, none of EB2 applications will be processed. In simpler words, does the retrogression of dates imply that I should not expect a decision on my GC at least until Oct 2012? My EAD and wife's EAD is valid until July 2012 and I'm unable to decide whether we should apply for new EAD's since without retrogression we would have expected a decision within 4-6 months (by June, 2012) Many thanks for your thoughtful replies Best Link to comment
kalyan_ac
You would not be impacted by the retrogression. You are still current and will get a decision. However since we dont know how long they take to process the I485 cannot suggest on renewal of EAD. Link to comment
