deepab
Hi All, My husband is a USC and we are filing I-130, I-485, and I-765 to adjust my status. Currently I am on H1B and due to my job location, I am living in a different state than him. 1. Can I quit my job (and move to be with my husband) after USCIS receives our package and send us confirmation? 2. Will I still be in legal status to stay within USA while my Green Card application is in process? 3. If I can quit my job, when is the correct time to quit during the green card process? For example, is quitting my job better before I get EAD or after I get EAD? We really appreciate any info. Thanks everyone! Link to comment
JoeF
The pending I-485 keeps you legal. The EAD is a document that allows you to work if you are are not on H1 anymore. Link to comment
