aditidb Posted April 5, 2012 Report Share Posted April 5, 2012 Hi We recd our green cards just a week ago (29 March 2012) and now my husband's company wants him to travel to India for a span of 3-4 months asap. Is it ok to go ahead with this travel? I have heard that one needs to spend 6 mnths in US min. every year to retain GC. Assuming that he will return back under 6 mnths, we would have had stayed in US in this calendar year for 3 mnths on GC status. Not sure if that affects the GC maintenance. Please suggest, thanks!
