Question on GC through future employment

Hi,

I work for a IT company and I’m in my sixth year of H1 and my complete my quota of six years in May 2013.

Due to project and personal commitments, I will not be able to quit Employer A immediately and so planning to apply GC through a IT Consultancy.

I would like to know if there will any problem or implications and any factors to be considered if I work for a company and apply GR thro a different company.

Please advise. Thank you
