JoeF Posted April 3, 2012 Report Share Posted April 3, 2012 The salary has to match or exceed the prevailing wage for the job in the region where the job is located. There is no one-size-fits-all number. Having said that, 35K looks very low. Link to comment

SameerH1Bworker Posted April 4, 2012 Report Share Posted April 4, 2012 @aabhishek99 In 2008, my friend's company gave him an offer of $40,000 & he went to stemping with that offer. VO told him minimum H1B wage is $45,000, so, get new offer from your employer above $45K or find another employer & come back for visa stamping. My friend manage to convince his employer & employer offered him $55K & he went back week after for stamping & same got visa stamped. Link to comment
