Signing Checklist page to submit to VFS Mumbai

Sorry if this posting has been already answered, but could not find it.

I am in US and have scheduled an interview with Mumbai Consulate in 2nd week of April. As you all know that we need to submit the required documents to VFS in advance.

I am planning to ask my friend to submit all the documents in VFS mumbai, but the checklist page states to sign the document below. I thaught that I can email him this letter but after downloading the letter and looking at it, looks like I need to sign and courier it to my friend to submit it to VFS.

Does a signed scanned copy is accepted or can we submit it without signing it?

Have any body done this before?

Please guide.
