JoeF
The H1 is the employer's application. The only way to ensure it goes smooth is to go with a good employer. Forget most consutling companies... Link to comment
blancx
Rakeshb6, When the H1-B application is filed, the USCIS with issue a Receipt Notice indicating that the application, necessary fees and all supporting documents have been received. The receipt notice includes the application number assigned to your application. This number typically begins with EAC. After you receive the application number, go on the USCIS website and check the status online. There is a box on the upper left side of the web page. You may also register online and provide an email address and phone number so that you may receive emails and text messages regarding the status of your application. Just make sure the employer is a good employer, legitimate, and abiding by the law (paying you as per the LCA, etc.). Your process with be smooth. Also, if the USCIS needs some thing from you, they will let the attorney know exactly what they require and how to send it to them. Hope this helps. Link to comment
