Bohu_ele
Hi, I am an student working as a contractor for a company and currently I am on my OPT Stem extension till March of 2013. They are going to take me as full time in August and then apply for my H1B visa. In case if H1 quota finishes by that point of time, what would be my options to be in status and work till next year quota is available. Thanks and any advice will be appriciated. Link to comment

JoeF
You would have to stop working when your OPT expires. There is no way around that. You'd have a 60-day grace period, so you can stay for 60 more days (without working), and if an H1 is then filed, you can stay until October (again, without working), when the H1 would kick in. So, if I were you I would get the employer to file an H1 soon, and not wait until August. Link to comment
