H1B approval copy not received

Hi,

My Regular first time H1B got approved in March 1st week (CSC). Now, it has been a month but my employer says that till now they have not recived the H1B approval copy.

He also mentioned that filing for a duplicate approval takes its own course and it may take upto 3-4 months to get a duplicate approval copy.

Can somebody give me some advice on this? Does this happen often that USCIS forgets to send the approval or it gets lost in postage?

Any body on the same boat?

Call USCIS & get SR. You should get duplicate copy in 2-3 weeks.

Quiet obviously your employer doesnt want to share tha approval notice for the fear that you might jump jobs..pretty common in desi consulting companies!

I have a similar case where my case is upated to approved since last month, but my employer says they have not mailed the approval notice till yet.

Please advise how can I call USCIS directly for a case udpate ??

I tried calling them once and they said, they will only answer my employer or lawyer.

Any advise will be appriciated.
