H1 to L1 after 6 years

Hi,

I will be completing my H1b 6 years in Aug-11 (including vacation time).

My PERM is not yet filed, and not expected to be filed before Aug.

Can I get L1b visa now?

For an L1, you would have to have worked for the company abroad for at least one year in the last 3 years.

If you were on H1 in the last 6 years, that's very obviously not possible.

Further, to get another H1 or L1, you would have to be abroad for one year.
