I am in my last of year of H1B (end of Nov 2012, 6 year limit) and my employer has started recruiting process and then PERM for the green card. Since I cannot extend the H1B and it looks like the PERM process will go beyond my end date for H1B, my employer is going to change my status to J1. Does anyone see any problem with this? Please advise.
