JanVisa1
I asked a company sponsoring my H1B to stop my H1B processing (due to personal reasons) well before they paid the visa charges to USCIS. Now they are asking me to bear the attorney administrative charges they paid. I have not singed any agreement (although they have one which they did not share that with me till date) with them that I will bear the attorney charges If I did not join them. Legally am I bound to pay these administrative charges? I currently moved to India for good. Link to comment
JoeF
If you didn't sign anything, you are not required to pay anything. And make sure you never sign anything about paying for an H1. Link to comment
Dev8803
It's true that H1b employee can legally pay attorney fees for H1b sponsorship, but it should be discussed before and documented somewhere in Offer letter or email. Link to comment
toashishmantri
I guess by LAW, employee is supposed to pay for H1B fees. the only thing which we can pay from our pocket is for premium processing fees. Just say NO to your employer. He cannot do anything. Is your employer is a desi consultant ? Link to comment
