L1 ended, B1 Valid, H1 in Process

I had returned from US in the month of June 2011 after completing 2 years on L1. My H1 is in process. But I am expected to travel for 8 weeks on a valid B1 to client location to recieve training on an application.

So, by end of this June I will be completing 1 yr outside US. So, that would mean that in case I get the H1 and travel to US in Oct, I will get a fresh period of 6 yrs for H1. But what happens if I travel in the month of May to US for 8 weeks? Will the 1 year period be broken? And will the USCIS deduct the 2 yrs spent on L1 from the 6 yr period from H1? Can anyone advise. Thanks.
