Minimum wage to apply H1-B visa--Urgent Please help!!

Hello All,

I am currently working on OPT as a Lab Analyst in a pharmaceutical company. A staffing agency agreed to apply my H1-B visa this april. My annual salary is $38,400. That is what I get, I don't know how much is the actual amount paid for my position as I get paid by my staffing agency.

I was told by some of my friends that for my salary they can't apply H1-B visa. I am really worried. Please advise.

Staffing agencies can not file H1s. Only employers can.

And the salary has to match or exceed the prevailing wage for the job in the region where the job is located.

The employer has to provide you with a copy of the LCA when you start the H1 job.

Oh, and the salary looks rather low for an H1 job.
