H1 B transfer but would like to continue with prev employer

Hello users,

I work for a an employer who had placed me at client location. Last year, the client expressed the desire to hire me full time. My employer was fine with it as long as i gave them 2 week notice.

For some reason the whole process of employment offer and H1 transfer took about 7 months and it was approved this week. In the meantime, my employer came up with the offer of starting the green card process if i stick with them.

I wanted to know if i can continue with my current employer, even though the H1 B transfer is approved? (They have not revoked my H1, i am still on their pay roll)
