Restrictions in Visa Status

My daughter, a US citizen wants to sponsor us for GC.

1]Our present visitor visa is valid for 3 more years. If she applies for our GC now , will it have any impact on our present visa?

2]Our marriage certificate is not available now. Will a notorized affidivate from India will serve the purpose?

Generally, once an immigrant petition is filed, it is very hard to use a visa that doesn't allow immigration intent, e.g., a visitor visa.

Further, be aware that with a GC, you actually have to live in the US. If you don't want that, ask your daughter to not sponsor a GC.
