Hi,

Employer had charged me for filing H1B but he didnt file it and won't refund the amount. Is there a way to get him to pay up. Has anyone gone to value consulting and can share their experience.

Why did you pay anything in the first place?

Run away from any employer who wants money for the H1, no matter how they call it. As you have found out, such employers are shady.

If the H1 violation is less than a year back, you can file a complaint with DOL on form WH4.

And next time, don't pay for an H1. A job pays you, not the other way around.
