H4 Visa approved

My wife & 4 months old daughter attended H4 visa interview in Chennai on March 14th. Visa approved. Here are more details.

I am working in EVC model and my H1B visa stamp expired 3 years ago. I am in USA with approved h1B extn but without visa stamp on passport.

Questions asked for H4 VISA Interview.

1. Is your daughter US citizen?

Ans: yes

2. What is her status here(India).

Ans: PIO

3. Your husband's company name?

Ans:xxxx

3. Your husband date of birth & place of birth?

Ans:xxxxx

4. Provide latest pay slips.

Ans: Given all 12 months pay slips.

5. Your visa is approved and receive the same in 1 week.

No other questions asked .

I suggest Chennai for H4 stampings.

My wife attended the h4 visa interview @Chennai on March 9th, VO told the same "You will receive the passport in 1 week".

We are still waiting for passport..

Anyone facing the same issues.

The same thing happened to my wife. My wife is also gone for L2 visa interview @Chennai on Mar-09 and she also did not receive the passport till now.

Any updates on your wife's passport? please let me know...

I see you mentioned that your kid is US citizen and both your wife and kid attended H4 interview. Did your wife take your daughter along with her for the interview purpose( if the VO asks any details abt ur daughter) or because your daughter is just 4 months old.

i am planning to send my wife for H4 interview soon in HYD and my daughter is US citizen / has PIO card, just wondering if i need to send my daughter along with my wife to support H4 interview.

My daughter is 1 1/2 yr old, not sure if they will allow for the interview.

Also should i prefer Chennai over HYD ?

Hello Krisswaves,

we did the same,my had intw on 29th march, i sent my daughter (1.5 yrss) with my wife, it will really help. VO surely ask that ur kid is US citizen or not. And I dont see any reason not going to HYD. Its ur choice.

my wife's visa got approved, waiting for the passport

i tracked my wife's passport on vfs website and it shows "Your Passport is under process at U.S Embassy/Consulate"

Did you see the same message on 30th march ?

yes .. till we got the passport on hand, your fine .. u got visa u will get passport.
