srujanar
Hi, My H1-B with company A is expiring on March 13th 2012.he is applying for extension on March 12th...all these days i am not worried because once the extension is applied i am good to work.. now i got a full time job with company B . they are done with back ground check and gave me offer letter. they took all documents from me for H1 transfer. the I797 i gave for H1B transfer has march 13th as expiry date on it. they will also explain for transfer may be on march 14th. now my question is what are the chances of H1B getting rejected/RFE because i gave them an I797 which will be expiring on march 13th. i dont even have an extension receipt number to give to them. please tell me what are the chances of approval. I know its my mistake of employer not to apply for extension so late. but we have no option as i have no job. Now i got a contracting position as well as full time. but its a tricky situation now.. Thanks in advance Link to comment
blancx
Any self claimed "tricky" situation should be discussed with an immigration atty for a good advice. Please do so, to avoid the situation from becoming even trickier, if not stickier. Link to comment
