Chennai Consulate: H4 interview went well, passport not received yet

Hi All,

Last week on Feb 28th, my wife had a visa interview at Chennai consulate which went well, officer mentioned to her saying that your passport will arrive in a week time, so far it is more than 8 days and we haven't heard anything about the passport, when checked the status of the passport, it said "your passport is under process". Has anyone faced similar problems with H4 visa passport status. Any one know how long will it take to dispatch the passport for US consulate.

even my wife has the same issue, did you receive your passport yet??

my wife attended her interview on March 9th at Chennai.

Thanks for looking at my post. My wife also went for L2 stamping on same day Mar-09 and still we did not receive the passport. Kindly let me know if someone is similar to this scenario.

Called the State Department yesterday, they are sill waiting on USCIS to update consular database.
